Llysfaen Fun Day 29th May 2009 7/06/2009
Some photos which capture the fantastic day at Llysfaen District Under 10's Funday on Friday 29th May 2009.
The day consisted of a Scavenger Hunt which included some bird spotting, this was followed by the children working as a team to produce a native bird poster which identified the five main common birds found in Britain, a group picnic was to follow, where children socialised and made new friends.
After the picnic all the children identified five common British birds using the task sheet to achieve their Mini Badge, the children then took part in a Handy Pony and ended the day with Mounted Games.

Seniors were on first. Our “A” team of Anna Hickey-Roberts, Eleri Jones, Mari Edwards, Ross Williams and Sam Major finished the heats in 7th place out of 12, qualifying for the B finals, but were only 3 points shy of making the A finals. As you can see 14 members had great fun sticking labels all over the very patient ponies at Hendre in half term! Well it hid the mud anyway!!
