Area competitions - general
Horse and pony care competition 2nd March 08
Two junior teams competed, Ross Williams, Suzi Williams and Anya Dreiling. The second team were Sian Bryant, Ceri Williams and Nan Jones, who did extremely well to come fourth. Well done both for looking smart and behaving impeccably.
Next year it would be nice to see some seniors going forward for the care competition, particularly those working towards their B tests, as the experience would be invaluable.
Horse and Pony Quiz 9 March 08
We were able to send five teams to this competition thanks to the enthusiasm of our members – the red sweat shirts outdid everyone else in volume as out of nine teams, FIVE were Flint and Denbigh!
The teams were:
- Sophie Toogood, Ross Williams, Nan Jones, Eleri Reece-Jones
- Rosie Miller, Sian Bryant, Ceri Williams, William Jones
- Kate Spicer, Louise Edwards, Anya Dreiling, Ellie Roche
- Hanni Frankland, Marie Edwards, Brier Leahy, Wednesday Ritter
- Lois Roberts, Eleri Jones, Suzi williams, Molly Hudson
Lois’ team came fourth and Hanni’s team came sixth. Well done not just to them but to all the teams for their cheerful and enthusiastic response to the quiz, and a particular BIG thank you to the parents who gave up their Sunday afternoon to transport 20 children half way across Wales and England!
These competitions could not happen without you. And we mustn’t forget FRED, our long suffering mascot!!
